San Juan United Way’s annual operating budget is monitored by the volunteer Board of Directors and its Executive Director to ensure that funds are spent judiciously. While the entire budget is covered by the Corporate Cornerstone Program, our pledge to these special donors is that we will strive to keep our overhead low. We also pledge that if the Cornerstone program raises more funds than are needed to operate United Way, the remainder will be added to the Community Investment Fund (allocable pool). Our overhead is low, only 12.11%, among the lowest in the Country for non-profits. We are also accountable. All of our funds are audited annually by Smith, Oldfield and Associates.
