A Loaned Executive is an individual "loaned" full-time to San Juan United Way for up to 13 weeks from late August through Thanksgiving to assist with the annual fund drive. During that time, the loaning company continues to pay the employee’s salary and generally covers gas mileage expenses. The Loaned Executive assists in organizing and implementing workplace campaigns at 25-35 companies throughout the county.
Loaned Executives can be recent retirees or current employees. Other ways to participate is to pay all or a portion of the cost for San Juan United Way to hire a full time, temporary employee. A new approach to this program is for several companies to each loan one employee for approximately 3 consecutive 5 week time-frames.
