San Juan United Way is committed to being the leading organization building a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate community. Because of this commitment, we have established an annual project called Day of Caring.

The Day of Caring to be held on September 5th, 2008 is a community wide service event that pairs local volunteers with United Way Partner Agencies and other non-profit agencies to raise awareness of community issues and services, as well as to better understand the impact of their donated dollars through special projects throughout San Juan County. In addition, through our partnership with United Blood Service and Baskin Robbins we also host the annual Pint for a Pint Blood Drive. This is the largest single day blood drive in the Four Corners.

Volunteer projects are open to companies, government agencies, the faith community, college groups and other civic groups. Day of Caring activities offer volunteers a great opportunity to get to know co-workers (outside of work), agency representatives and other volunteers in the community.
