On February 9th, San Juan United Way announced fundraising in the amount of $3,202,185! This is the largest campaign in the history of San Juan United Way.
George and Melissa Sharpe, 2011 Campaign Chairs announced the amount of money raised to a luncheon crowd of about 160 at the Marriott Hotel. The crowd was enthusiastic when George and Melissa showed an entertaining video of highlights of the fall campaign.
San Juan County is a great place to live and work and we send our sincere thanks for your generosity and compassion.
San Juan United Way
Needs Your Help!!!
It's that time of year again, we need volunteers to help with Allocations.
San Juan United Way needs your help. Undesignated contributions from our 2011 campaign must be allocated to our Partner Agencies in a fair, unbiased and community-minded manner. Your involvement and input as an Allocations Volunteer is a critical part of this procedure. I hope you decide to become a part of this vital process team.
When you volunteer, you must attend one orientation/training session. These sessions will be held at San Juan United Way offices, 903 W Apache Street in Farmington, New Mexico. In the event you cannot attend either date listed, but wish to serve on an Allocation Panel, please call Linda Mickey at (505) 326-1195.
As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to visit the Partner Agencies that have requested funding.
Please help recruit more volunteers for this process by passing this information to your co-workers or friends!

San Juan United Way is 51!
San Juan United Way, or The Farmington Community Fund as it was known, was incorporated in 1960. The first year, the Campaign Chairman, Mr. Jess May, set the campaign goal at $40,000. This goal was not met and they debated whether to continue with the Community Fund. Thankfully they had the courage and the tenacity to continue.
Throughout the last 50 years, San Juan United Way has continued to serve San Juan County with a commitment for high standards of excellence and with an outstanding body of community supporters. San Juan United Way has grow ???? supporting just a few agencies to our current funding of 39 programs and 16 partner agencies. Significant dollars in grants and emergency funding to agencies both inside and outside the United Way system have also been provided.
Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED.
